Titilayo Adedokun
About me
Titilayo Rachel Adedokun was born in Nashville, Tennessee, USA to parents of Nigerian origin. A former Miss Ohio and Second Runner-up to Miss America, her talent and experience span different musical genres including Jazz, Blues, Musical Theater and Spirituals. She has been noted by critics everywhere for her versatility and her unparalleled ability to captivate an audience.
An energetic performer who got her start singing in churches and dinner theatres across the US, she lived and performed in Italy for 5 years after receiving her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in voice from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music in Ohio, USA. She has sung the title or main roles in “Kiss Me Kate”, “Night Fever: The Gala of Film Musicals” and the jazz musical “Ella & Billie” in theaters and on tours throughout Europe. She currently resides in Germany.
Whether she’s enchanting audiences in her one-woman Musical Theater show, 50 Shades of Fairytales, or lending her voice to jazz, blues or her original compositions in concert or on one of her albums (“A Child Again” 2009, “Look at Me” 2013 and her latest “Don’t Give Up” 2025), her performances often showcase her musical diversity, with influences ranging from jazz, blues, funk, Gospel, hymns, Yoruba songs (from Nigeria) to songs inspired by her personal experiences and her three daughters.
“The range of her repertoire is astounding, but in keeping with Adedokun’s extraordinary voice. Her dark depths are full of temperament and smoky coloration: the bluesy vocal range of the jazz singer, which full of fervor starts big notes from below. The middle register (…) ranges between almost rock expressiveness and ballad-like emotionality.” (Süddeutsche Zeitung).

My Music
New Album “Don’t Give Up” - Out now
Don’t Give Up was inspired by my own personal journey. I recorded this CD, and composed 6 of the 11 songs, as a way of dealing with past experiences, healing trauma and reaching out to those who might be going through hard times as well.
Don’t Give Up is much more than an album title – it’s a daily affirmation and life motto. It stands for hope, self-empowerment, encouragement and healing – themes that are more relevant today than ever before.
This CD is a soundtrack to my personal journey through the past few years and I hope it can accompany you on yours as well. The message is simple: Fight Back! Don’t give up! You’re not alone!

Press Reviews
“Titilayo Adedokun, whose glamorous voice, charm, and acting talent again and again sparked that famous connection with the audience.”
— Leonberger Kreise
“The range of her repertoire is astonishing, yet perfectly suited to Adedokun’s extraordinary voice. Her dark lower register brims with temperament and a smoky hue: the bluesy timbre of a jazz singer who launches into deep notes with passion and fire. Her middle range (…) spans from near rock-like intensity to balladic emotionality.”
— Süddeutsche Zeitung
“Titilayo Adedokun. With her soulful, powerful voice and expressive stage presence, she moved the audience to standing ovations.”
— Oberbayerische Volksblätter
Audience Feedback
“It was enchanting to be able to listen to this voice, in which one could hear so much skill, joy, sorrow, and pain. Blues in perfection! Singing and performance formed a unity together with her accompanying musicians. You are a true enrichment in the world of music!”
“A huge compliment and thank you for the wonderful evening yesterday. That you were able to give us such a performance deserves at least this much praise. A singer—no, an exotic beauty—with such a versatile voice was a very special experience. Not to forget the highly professional musicians, who accompanied you sparingly yet most effectively. Your program design is clearly bearing fruit, judging by the size of the audience. In short: heartfelt thanks for this great evening!”
